For notification of future course dates:
These classes raise funds to operate the studio as a workplace for our members. We regret that due to the extensive use of the studio we cannot offer make-up classes for missed sessions.
Consider Inspirations Studio as the place to hold your next client appreciation or corporate team building event while raising funds for a worthy cause. We have qualified instructors who can lead your group through the basics of learning how to hand build and throw on the potter’s wheel, while enjoying the company of your friends or colleagues. During our three-hour workshops you make the pottery, then we glaze it for you and fire the work twice.
The cost is $700 for a maximum of seven people and you will receive a tax-deductible donation receipt for $200.00. Your donation will go directly toward the clay and glazes needed to run the studio. Thank you!
Please call or email us to book our studio for your group.
For partner agencies
We offer a variety of programs for partner agencies, including three hour workshops on wheel-throwing or hand-building/sculpture, all the way up to five week programs covering all the basics of pottery.
All workshops are co-taught by Inspirations Studio staff and Members. Please call or email us to discuss tailoring a program to your needs.
For future members
Classes are open to those who identify as women, have been impacted by poverty and who are on Ontario Works or the Ontario Disability Support Program. The program is intended for women who are interested in the arts and developing pottery skills to earn supplemental income. Involvement in the studio starts with an eight week course, after which women can apply to become members.
